Congratulations to Etienne Sinatambou & Manisha Bissoon

Etienne Sinatambou and a certain Manisha Bisoon got married on Saturday. Aww, the IT minister dude has a dudette now. Does anyone know who Manisha Bissoon is?

wedding

I wish them well. I look forward to one day, seeing the IT minister dude (or the once IT minister dude) to have mini-Etiennes walking by him. Awww.

Extract from 5 Plus Dimanche, Page 13.

Cya on Thursday. I need to get back to my vacancy, away from bloggings. WLOL. I couldn’t resist but post about the above. :P Plus, I think there’s a typo. Should it be “a l’eglise and not “en”? Correct me if I’m wrong. I prefer English :P  Anyway, let’s wish them well.

Cya on Thursday

Cya on Thursday, if you’re still alive…niahaha..No worries, you’ll all cheer up on Wednesday, when you discover the Higgs Boson particles. Come on! It’s crap to believe that the LHC will destroy Earth via the creation of long lived and expanding black holes.

If something wrong happens, McKay, Carter, Zelenka, Henry, Zane, and even Fargo will join forces to save us.

I’m taking another blogancy. *dead beat tired*

Meanwhile, enjoy the popular Large Hardron Rap from alpinekat. I’ve been listening to it every once in a while since it’s been released. I look forward to watch another vid. of hers after the success of the LHC.

:)

TV series which cradled my youth

6 September, 2008 (05:02) | Real Life | By: Shah

old tv setI miss ole’ TV series. I wasn’t always a sci-fi fan. I believe my interest in TV shows began in the late eighties, fueled by the wonders of the analogue colour television. Oh, the animated series of plastic man was the 1st show played once the antennae was ‘configured’ properly (acute position of the antennae was a must. It was fun to try to obtain a clear signal from the broadcast relay located on the side of Candos Hill.) I guess the title could have been “TV shows which cradled my childhood.” Hey, I’m still young.

Anyway, back in the ole’ days, there were very TV series which were way better than the one which currently air.

My 6 favs. were (and still are!):

  • Simon & Simon! The two brothers were cunning and funny detectives. Gosh, I used to wake up at 5 AM to watch 2 episodes on Tele Reunion, everyday. The show was great.

  • Magnum P.I! Magnum was a true man! Tom Selleck is The Retro sexual! You’ve got to love him! Or you can just love the 308 GTB. Hey, that Ferrari model was cool back then.

  • The A-Team! Gosh, the storyline was so good. My fav. characters are The Faceman, Baracus and Murdock. In the opening theme, Dirk Benedict who portrayed The Faceman is shown standing next to a walking cylon! For those who don’t understand what I’ve just written - Dirk Benedict also portrayed Starbuck in the original Battlestar Galactica series.

  • Knight Rider! Oh, I had a crush on the lovely Bonnie. KITT was awesome. So was Michael. The new series featuring K3000 is alright but the original one with K2000 will always be my fav.

  • MacGyver! Mac was awesome not just because of the gadgets he built up out of ordinary materials but because of his values - like not using a gun, protecting the environment, fighting against racism, among others. Back when I was a kid, I used to think I’d end up working at The Phoenix Foundation one day, fighting Murdoc (he was one of my fav. villains.)

  • Babylon 5! I was never a trekkie. I tried to be one but B5 had a better storyline, more in-depth characters, mixed drama and sci-fi better than the current Battlestar Galactica. Every now and again, I re-watch the series and movies incl. The Lost Tales. The spin-off, Crusade, sucked IMO. Oh, Captain/President John Sherridan has always been my fav. character.

Now, I’m all nostalgic and planning to do a Magnum PI and B5 marathon tomorrow. Anyway, what are the TV series which you enjoyed back when you were a kid?

This is brilliant. Germaine gets more lines!!!

WLOL! Real benefit of being a woman = she can be a prostitute to gain money! WLOL!

She’s dumb though. Foamy rules! He’s wacko and smart! “Throwing sharp objects @ people, flip cars, make people’s heads explode” are the best uses of telekinesis. I’m so glad Germaine isn’t in Heroes (TV Series on NBC.) Save The Goth, Save the Telekinetic Sex. :P

FORUM BORE ‘EM SWF will be released on the 18th September 2K8.
